Raine slipped from her bed and glanced at the clock. Three AM. She took a deep breath and quietly dressed, gathering some possessions in her backpack. She padded into her parents' room and looked at the two of them, sound asleep.
"Please, please forgive me," She whispered, feeling cold tears run down her face, "I won't be home again."
Maybe sometime soon they'd wake and realize something was missing. But they wouldn't now, and they would never find her. Not that they would want to. They wouldn't cry as she was; they had forgotten about her long ago anyway. Was she that unimportant, that insignificant?
Would anyone miss her at all?

Jocelyn heard the school bell ring. It was the end of the day. Everything was moving in slow motion. With wide, bloodshot eyes she looked down at the body before her.

"Who said that?" Jocelyn whispered, laying her scarlet hands on Emmy's chest; she wasn't breathing.

"Jocelyn!" Someone yelled. Jocelyn stood quickly, her blonde hair flying out behind her head and getting stuck on her pink lip gloss. An adult was running towards her; a teacher, with a lot more behind her.
"Jocelyn, what happened?"
"I I think I killed her," Jocelyn breat
